Crop seasons organize farms and fields with crop assignments over a user-defined date range, simplifying data analysis, record keeping, and reporting.
Navigate to the Crop Seasons menu to view all Active and Inactive Seasons.
Creating a New Crop Season
To create a new Crop Season from this page, select + Create Season.
Additionally, Crop Seasons can also be created when assigning crops as viewed within this article: Assigning a Crop Zone to a Field
Assign the 1) Crop Season Name and 2) Crop Season Dates.
It is recommended to name the crop season by the calendar year, such as 2025 or 2026. This allows for all crops harvested within the calendar year to be combined into a single crop season.
For operations that include double cropping, or spring and fall crops within the same field, the crop season can instead represent these specific crop plantings. Examples include, but not limited to:
- 2025 Spring Snap Beans and 2025 Fall Snap Beans
- 2025 Wheat and 2025 Soybeans
Complete the process by clicking 3) Save.
The new Crop Season will now be listed either in the Active or Inactive Seasons list. If today's date falls within the crop season's date range, it will be considered as Active. If today's date falls outside the crop season's date range, it will be considered Inactive.
