The cost of a product or service that has been applied to a field or performed on a farm can change, and often the actual cost is not known until an invoice is received later in the growing season. In addition to the ability to assign a Product List Price in Cropwise Financials, an updated List Price can be applied to previously Completed Tasks. This allows for accurate record keeping and profitability analysis.
Updating Completed Tasks with a Product's List Price
Before a product's pricing can be updated in a completed task, the product's List Price must first be assigned. Click here to learn how to assign a product's List Price!
To update a Completed Task using a product's List Price, navigate to the Products menu and select View for the applicable product. For this example, we are utilizing the Spraying service as our product.
Within the Production Records portion of the product information menu, select Completed Tasks from the drop-down menu to view all Completed Tasks associated to the product.
The Completed Tasks list can be filtered by Crop Season or by Date Range to narrow down to the Completed Tasks that need to be updated with the List Price.
For this example, we are updating the cost of Spraying services in the 2024 Crop Season. To begin the process of updating Completed Tasks, select Update Records with List Price.
When choosing the Task(s) to update, there are a few different options:
- Tasks can be selected Individually.
- Select All Tasks on the current page.
- Select All Records across all pages.
Select Update Records to adjust each selected Task with the product's current List Price.
A confirmation message will appear. To continue, select Update Records.
An informational message will appear to confirm that the updates to the Completed Tasks are underway. While the system updates the completed tasks, you can continue working in other parts of Cropwise Financials.
After the system has completed the updates to the Completed Tasks, a message will appear to confirm that the updates were successful. This message will appear after re-entering or refreshing the page once the updates are completed.
